Corn Snakes

Corn snakes are thin and the length can vary between 24 to 72 inches (61 to 182 cm). These snakes are normally orange or brownish-yellow, and with big, black-lined red patches along the middle of the back. On it's underside you'll find alternate rows of black and white markings, a bit like a chessboard layout. There's quite a variation in the colouring and patterns of individual members of the species, which is governed by the snake's age and the part of the country where it lives. New born snakes don't have much of the bright colouring found on the adult reptiles.
